Selwood Housing Group, a local not-for-profit housing association based in Wiltshire, has been awarded Silver Investors in People accreditation, reflecting its commitment to investing in and developing staff and creating a great place to work.
Investors in People (IIP) is the international standard for people management, which measures organisations on how they lead, support and manage their people effectively to achieve sustainable results.
Commenting on the achievement, Barry Hughes, Selwood Housing group chief executive said, “We are extremely proud of this achievement and of our staff, who’s feedback and commitment enabled us to achieve IIP Silver. We know that investing in our people and giving staff the opportunity to fulfil their potential means we will deliver excellent services to our customers.”
Selwood Housing Group employs nearly 300 staff in a range of roles. With offices in Trowbridge and another opening in Melksham next year, it also has field-based roles covering Wiltshire, Somerset and Bath and North East Somerset. The organisation owns over 6,400 homes for affordable and social rent as well as shared ownership, in Wiltshire, Somerset and Bath and North East Somerset. The Group built a record number of affordable homes during 2017/18, totalling 254.
