Over time, tiles can become damaged or cracked due to general wear and tear. It is important to replace these tiles to prevent any moisture from making its way through to the wall, which can lead to mould or rot.
Before starting any work to replace a cracked or damaged tile, ensure that you are wearing the correct safety wear. Handling cracked tiles is the same as handling broken glass, therefore we recommend wearing cut 5 rated gloves and safety goggles to prevent any broken tile pieces from splitting off and hitting your eye.
You should also ensure that the area around the cracked or damaged tile is protected, for example the bathtub, sink, shower tray or worktop. Simply covering these areas with a sheet will help to prevent any damage from falling tiles.
