Drainage board is dented
If you are experiencing issues with your stainless-steel drainage board, it may be due to a dent and you will need to contact us on 01225 715 715 and request an inspection.
Any damage that has been made to the stainless-steel sink that is not considered general wear and requires a repair or replacement, will likely be charged back to you.
Stains in the sink
Even though it is called stainless steel, these sinks can often be left with brown stains on the metal resembling rust. See our tips on removing stubborn stains from your stainless-steel sink:
Steam cleaning
Step 1: boil water in a kettle
Step 2: place a paper towel or microfiber towel over the stain
Step 3: pour enough of the boiling water onto the towel to wet it and allow it to steam the stained surface for 5-10 minutes.
Step 4: once the towel has cooled, rub the surface with the towel, moving with the direction of the grain.
Stainless steel cleaner
Stainless steel cleaners can be picked up from your local supermarket. Many will come with their own instructions, but generally you will need to apply a good amount to a soft cloth and buff the stain until it has been removed.
White wine vinegar and sunflower oil
Step 1: spray the sink liberally with white wine vinegar.
Step 2: wipe the sink down using either a paper towel or a very soft cloth. Ensure to go with the direction of the grain to remove any initial debris.
Step 3: dip the soft cloth into a little bit of sunflower oil, or other type of cooking oil.
Step 4: polish your stainless-steel sink with the oiled cloth. Ensure to go with the direction of the grain.
