At Selwood Housing, we are committed to developing our people. That’s why we offer our managers and aspiring managers the opportunity to gain a Chartered Management Institute (CMI) accredited qualification in management and leadership.
We work with Talentstorm and Crescente to deliver an accredited six-month programme with six modules. Participants gain a strong foundation in key leadership and management principles throughout the modules. Managers can choose from level 3 or 5, allowing them to choose a programme best suited to their experience and career aspirations.
Throughout the programme, participants attend workshops, online coaching and 121 sessions. Six in-house workshops also complement the programme, focusing on policies and procedures specific to Selwood Housing.
Those who complete the programme and achieve the CMI qualification benefit from:
- gaining a recognised qualification and enhanced credibility
- group learning: building relationships and sharing ideas with other colleagues
- solidifying their knowledge and being able to put it into action
- learning about new leadership theories for effective people management
- personal growth and developing their leadership potential
- gaining recognition within Selwood Housing as a dedicated and skilled leader
- celebrating their hard work and a sense of personal accomplishment
- readiness for their current or aspiring role in people management.
This year, we’re proud to congratulate our staff who achieved their CMI qualifications. Through completing the programme, they have cemented their skills, knowledge and leadership behaviours and combined this theory with practical application in their daily roles.
