Bradford-on Avon skatepark officially opens in style

On Saturday 9 September, Maverick Skateparks and Team Rubicon hosted a Skate Park Opening Jam event to officially celebrate the opening of the new Bradford-on-Avon skatepark in Poulton Park, with an afternoon of live music, rider demonstrations, competitions and prizes.

The target funding of £250,000 for the development of the skatepark was achieved through collaboration between the Town Council, SkateBoA and local organisations including Selwood Housing, as well as individual contribution’s from members of the public. The completion of the skatepark is a huge achievement for the town and would not have been possible without the support of so many people and organisations.

George Tomlinson, Community Engagement & Development Officer for Bradford-on-Avon Town Council said, “Selwood Housing’s contribution toward Bradford on Avon’s new skatepark helped fund its construction in the summer of 2023. The new facility at Poulton Park is already being enjoyed by young people in the town and beyond”.
