The role

Selwood are committed to building a sustainable future, integrating renewable technologies into our existing properties and new builds.

With renewable energy becoming ever more accessible and prevalent, we are looking to hire a passionate trainee to join our small, directly employed team. You'll carry out day to day repairs and maintenance to our housing stock, undertaking works under supervision, and coaching customers on the use of their renewables systems.

We are focusing on solar PV, solar thermal, exhaust air and air source heat pumps. You will receive on-the-job training on these systems, plus enrolment in relevant trade and academic courses as part of a well-rounded training and development plan. You'll also receive excellent one-to-one support from our knowledgeable Renewables team.

Ideally, we are looking for someone who has started their training within heating, plumbing or electrical, has reached NVQ Level 2, and is now looking to make the switch to the exciting world of renewables.

Experience:

• Minimum of NVQ level 2 in Gas/ Plumbing, or NVQ level 2 in Electrical Installation or Maintenance.
• C&G 2330 L2 in Electrical installation or equivalent plumbing qualification.
• Experience in a plumbing or electrical role in a refurbishment, new build, or maintenance environment.
• Knowledge of this role's industry best practice to an intermediate level with theoretical experience of how to use this knowledge to ensure high standards and safe practice.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety and safe practices
• Approachable and self-motivated, capable of motivating others through effective working relationships
