Who we are

Selwood Housing Group is a not-for-profit housing association committed to providing affordable local homes for our customers. The role

We are looking for an experienced Plumber to join our friendly team of operatives, maintaining and installing new bathrooms in properties our around the Trowbridge and Melksham area.

This is an interesting and varied role, going beyond just fitting sanitary ware. You’ll carry out plumbing and associated works to bathrooms, as well as carpentry works (bath panel and boxings), ceramic tiling, vinyl sheet flooring, and full decoration of bathroom, commissioning works and finals.

You’ll be provided with a company vehicle and will have the added benefit of Customer Service team managing and updating your jobs as you go, so you can focus on providing the best customer service possible. We also regularly hold Toolbox Talks and team training sessions to help you develop and acquire new skills.

Ideally we are looking for;

  • Experience detecting faults in plumbing appliances and systems and correctly diagnosing their causes
  • Confidence installing, repairing and maintaining domestic, commercial and industrial plumbing fixtures and systems
  • Broad experience in tiling, carpentry and vinyl sheet flooring
  • Experience testing pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges
  • Minimum of NVQ level 2 plumbing
  • Knowledge of industry best practice to an intermediate/advanced level and how to use this knowledge to ensure high standards and safe practices
  • Desire to deliver work to a high standard, and a focus on customer satisfaction
