The role

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established and friendly response team. You'll have the stability of long term work and the chance to develop numerous trade skills. This will be initially supporting our term completing loft insulation installation, but you’ll get the opportunity to build out a broad skillset, including fencing, concreting, property maintenance and repairs, and general groundwork.  Day to day you will be working on our properties in the Trowbridge, Melksham and the surrounding areas, both occupied and un-occupied.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Removing and renewing brickwork/Breaking out and renewing concrete paths
  • Installing and topping up loft insulation and conducting mould washes and removal
  • Removing/clearing items from properties for disposal or storage
  • Collecting and transporting materials from suppliers
  • Delivering high-quality work following training, experience, and industry best practices
  • Ensuring maximum productivity while maintaining quality and efficiency
  • Following instructions accurately and meeting deadlines, as well as working alone and using initiative
  • Assisting Contract Managers/Supervisors in ensuring a safe working environment compliant with Health & Safety policies and legislation
  • Maintaining compliance with company policies, standards, procedures, and initiatives as well as adhering to Risk Assessments and Method Statements
  • Utilizing PDA and IT systems to manage workload and performance

 

What are we looking for?

  • A full UK driving licence.
  • Labouring experience, ideally with fencing, concreting and groundwork
  • The ability to collaborate with planners, call handlers, and other team members
  • Effective time and workload management
  • Experience erecting, utilising and dismantling access equipment
  • Self-motivation and the ability to motivate others, as well as taking a dynamic approach to unexpected incidents
  • A collaborative, positive team environment and prioritizing a customer-first approach
  • A strong work ethic with a focus on performance and delivering quality results
