The role

The purpose of this role is to ensure our properties are maintained to the highest standard. This is to be achieved via delivery of our stock condition programme, responsive repairs service, planned and improvement projects and our strict compliance programmes.

 

Surveyors are responsible for two areas of work:

  • Delivering the response repair service arranging minor works and managing any necessary specialist contractors.
  • Procurement and management of major works projects, from inception to completion, and component replacement programmes with external contractors.

 

As this is an entry level role, extensive training and mentorship will be provided, including shadowing one of our existing Surveyors, allowing you to progress between the different levels as your skills develop, and specialise in certain areas.

What we are looking for

This role will require a reasonable level of IT literacy, specifically the Microsoft office stack (Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook). We are also looking for:

  • An understanding of maintenance management and/or construction management
  • Knowledge of building maintenance
  • Knowledge & understanding of H&S regulations including CDM
  • Understanding of  the importance of excellent customer service & some experience  working with the general public
  • Can work to set targets & makes decisions appropriate to the level of responsibility/competence
