Why choose sheltered housing?
Sheltered Housing is for people over the age of 55, who are planning for retirement and would benefit from the support on offer, or younger applicants with disabilities who also require this support.
Sheltered housing offers you your own home, with your own front door. However you can benefit from having some additional help and support if and when you need it.
Sheltered housing is also a good option if you’re looking to downsize, benefiting from a property with lower running costs and that’s easier to manage – no more worrying about major repairs, these are covered for you.
What’s on offer?
From bungalows and flats, to studio apartments, we provide a wide range of homes across West Wiltshire.

Additional peace of mind
Some of Selwood Housing’s sheltered homes come with a hardwired or personal alarm as standard (tested every 12 months), connected to a 24-hour monitoring centre. This service provides reassurance that you can live independently, but are able to access help if you require it.
Our sheltered housing coordinators provide direct support to our sheltered properties. They are your point of contact for any concerns you have regarding your home, your tenancy or the communal areas and grounds.

Supported housing
We own and manage registered care homes and supported housing schemes, for people with learning and physical disabilities. These homes or schemes support people with a range of needs, from those who require specialist, continuous care, to people who can live independently with support.
We work with a range of partners, and work closely with Wiltshire Council to ensure our properties continue to meet the specialist needs that the services are designed for.
