Involvement opportunities

Have your say

Getting involved at Selwood Housing means our customers can influence services and make a real difference. It's important our customers share their thoughts, opinions and ideas as this leads to better decision making, improved services and increased satisfaction.

Throughout the year, we have lots of different opportunities for our customers to get involved and we often offer rewards in return. You don't need any previous experience and we have lots of ways for you to get involved, depending on how much time you can spare.

Please note that all our projects/opportunities are subject to change and may not be open to all customers. Please read the description carefully before registering your interest.

Tenancy fraud policy review

The fraudulent use of social housing is a waste of an important resource and prevents us from offering accommodation to those in most need. In some cases it can also be a criminal offence. Tackling tenancy fraud helps us to provide an effective housing service, as this type of fraud affects how we can manage our properties, including dealing effectively with anti-social behaviour or repairs issues. It also affects our finances in terms of reclaimed benefit payments where these have been paid fraudulently.

Reports from residents about the misuse of our properties helps us to ensure that they are used for their intended purpose and for those people who most need them.

We would like to invite you to join us in a focus group to review our tenancy fraud policy.

Our Stronger Communities Fund is a grant scheme aimed at improving the lives of our customers and the communities where they live. Trowbridge Future, a local charity, recently relocated to a new home in the shires shopping centre with support from the funding we provide. The new venue has a lot more space, including a private booth for appointments, comfy sofas, craft provision, and a new much-needed office for staff.

The current application window for the Stronger Communities Fund closes on the 31st July and further details can be found on our website: ecs.page.link/voeYM
