Gas servicing

The health and safety of you and your family is our priority.  We check your gas appliances and flues each year to make sure they are properly maintained.

About 30 people a year die from carbon monoxide poisoning caused by appliances and flues not being properly installed or maintained. Many others suffer health problems as a result of the gas not burning properly.  Because of this, there's a law that says we must check the safety of your gas appliances and flues every year.

What to do if you have a gas leak

Gas leaks are very serious and can be deadly.  If you suspect you have a gas leak please report it immediately by calling 0800 111 999.

Please see this flyer for more information.

Gas safety appointments

Our contractors will visit you to service your gas appliances.  You must allow them to carry out this work for your safety because it is a condition of your tenancy agreement.  This service is free for you.

We will contact you eight weeks before your gas service is due with a appointment.  If this time doesn't work for you, simply fill out this online form or contact our gas servicing team on 01225 715 888 to set up a new appointment.

If you fail to make and keep an appointment you will be breaking your tenancy agreement, and we will take immediate action to make sure we can carry out the servicing.  This may include taking legal action to repossess your home or getting an injunction (a court order that says you must let us into your home).  We will charge you the cost of doing this, and it can cost you around £1000.  Picking up the phone and keeping a 45 minute appointment can avoid all of this.

Carbon monoxide poisoning

Carbon Monoxide is known as 'the silent killer'. Symptoms of carbon monoxide poisoning include tiredness, drowsiness, headaches, giddiness, nausea, vomiting, chest pains, breathlessness, stomach pains, unpredictable behaviour, and sight problems.
